The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB has been the best-selling model for the German automaker in India for some time and the updated facelift for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is expected to follow that momentum. The new sedan has been updated to match its family look and feels more luxurious and futuristic inside. In addition, two other colors would be available for a limited time: Selenite Gray and Designo Hyacinth Red. Here are the highlights.

The 2021 E-Class doesn’t get the typical treatment of dual headlights and LED DRLs. In fact, the single LED DRL now looks great and the bulges on the hood give it an aggressive look. The rear has been redesigned and the new split tail light design gives it a new appeal. The rear quarter window is inspired by the Mercedes-Maybach.
The interior comes with a plush Artico leather dashboard and open-pore wood trim on the front and rear. But it’s the back seat that catches your eye as it tilts up to 37 degrees. The new capacitive touch buttons on the steering wheel are quite nice, as is the new beige-Tropez blue interior upholstery reserved only for the top-of-the-range variant.
Infotainment and connected technology
The MBUX system enhances the user experience by incorporating a powerful computer, brilliant displays and graphics, a customizable display, learning software and “Hey Mercedes” voice assistance with natural language recognition. You get the digital cockpit with two 12.3 inch display screens.
In the features department, you get a 590W Burmester surround sound system, panoramic sunroof, tri-zone climate control, and wireless charger, among others. In the second row there are up to 5 type C charging points.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is offered with three engine options – a 2.0-liter petrol, a 2.0-liter diesel and a 3.0-liter diesel in an AMG line. While the 2.0-liter gasoline develops 194 hp, the 2.0-liter diesel develops 192 hp. The more powerful 3.0-liter diesel produces 282 hp.
