Truecaller partnered with GoKwik to minimize returns for ecommerce businesses

GoKwik partners with global caller identification platform Truecaller for instant customer verification to deliver a seamless shopping experience and reduce ROI for ecommerce and digital-first brands in India. The partnership between GoKwik and Truecaller aims to improve conversions and reduce RTOs (return to origin) by easily identifying and verifying users.

RTO or Return to Origin is a major pain point for e-commerce and online merchants as it directly affects their revenue and profits. According to industry-wide data, about 20 percent of orders are returned to origin. If the order is placed COD, this number increases to 40 percent.

“With this partnership, shoppers are getting a new wave of convenience stores, resulting in higher conversions and profitability for merchants, along with robust RTO fraud prevention,” said Chirag Taneja, co-founder and CEO of GoKwik.

After the partnership, customers don’t have to manually fill in names, phone numbers and other details or worry about OTP issues.

Ecommerce fraud is one of the biggest reasons for RTO. Through the partnership, the companies will provide greater precision in tracking unverified customers who are more likely to commit RTO fraud.
