Trump is reinstated on Twitter after Elon Musk polled users

Former President Trump is reinstated on Twitter, Elon Musk said in a tweet Saturday night.

Trump, 76, was banned from the social media platform following the January 6, 2021 uprising.

Musk posted a 24-hour Twitter poll asking users to decide whether to repost the controversial Trump, who recently announced a new White House nomination, on the controversial platform.

In the end, more than 15 million people voted, with those who chose to reinstate Trump receiving 51.8% of the vote against 48.2% saying no.
