England boss Gareth Southgate is debating whether to exclude Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish from his Euro 2020 squad, while Lucas Torriera has urged a Man Utd man to move to Argentina with him, the everything in the newspapers.
SOUTHGATE HAS A SHOCK PLAN IN ENGLAND
The sun report that Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish could miss a place in the England squad for Euro 2020.
Gareth Southgate was apparently so impressed with Jesse Lingard’s re-emergence that he could omit either of the two Sancho or Grralish from his 23-man squad.
Lingard’s brilliant form on loan to West Ham propelled him back to England after an 18-month absence.
Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho and Aston forward Villa Grealish have been excluded from the triple World Cup qualifying header due to injury.
Southgate claimed Lingard, 28, was ‘lucky’ to be included, due to injuries to Grealish, Sancho, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes. But the newspaper says “Southgate has been so impressed with Lingard’s form, as well as his huge popularity within the team, that he’s trying to figure out who to fail to find room for him.”
