World number one badminton Viktor Axelsen secured a place in the Indonesia Open final on Saturday after knocking down rising Malaysian star Lee Zii Jia in a close and fast-paced encounter in Jakarta. Both players started the game strong in front of a nearly full Istora Senayan arena, but Lee edged his opponent in the opener with an aggressive volley of quick shots. Axelsen bounced back to claim second place before the decider fell to the wire as Lee kept the pressure on the Tokyo gold medalist until the very last point.
