Walmart hires 40,000 workers for the holidays and beyond

TEXAS (UKTN) — Walmart announced Wednesday that it plans to hire 40,000 employees for the holiday season and beyond.

Senior Vice President Maren Wagoner stated in a corporate blog post that the retail giant will welcome employees “in a variety of seasonal and full-time positions.”

They will start, she said, by offering current employees more hours and then expanding the offer to those who prefer to work on a temporary basis.
