Watch: Mohammed Rizwan refuses to click selfie with female fan, video goes viral


Pakistani wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan has returned home after competing in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup where he was part of the side that reached the final but finished second.

Rizwan, the 2021 ICC T20I Cricketer of the Year, has a large fan base both inside and outside Pakistan. He has a great relationship with fans, because of the humility with which he treats them.

However, a video has now surfaced on social media of Rizwan breaking the heart of one of his female fans for not fulfilling her wish. From what has been learned, Rizwan was invited to an event, after which fans surrounded him to have their picture taken with him. While he was comfortable posing for photos and selfies with male fans, he refused to pose for a photo when a female fan contacted him.

Mohammad Rizwan has said repeatedly that he is not comfortable shooting women. He considers women to be of very high status and does not consider himself worthy to have his picture taken with them. Rizwan said he doesn’t look at or talk to a lady. He regularly speaks to female sports anchors while gazing down.
