Watch: Tamil Nadu’s Nivethan Radhakrishnan plays with both arms for Australia U-19 at World Cup

The 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup kicked off on Friday as Australia and Sri Lanka picked up crucial victories to start their campaigns on a high note. The Under-19 World Cup, which has shaped many of the game’s current stars, is renowned for providing center stage for future superstars. Australian Nivethan Radhakrishnan is another player who caught the eye on the opening day of the World Cup. He tricked the batsmen of the West Indies by playing with his two arms.

Yes, you read that right, the guy can literally play with both arms and he’s equally good with both. Radhakrishnan was born in Tamil Nadu but chose to represent Australia internationally.

In the next game against West Indies U-19, the spinner threw a left arm spin at right-handed batsmen and switched arms to throw a right arm spin when a left-handed batsman was playing.

Displaying such ambidextrous skills does wonders for him as he recorded three scalps in his 10 over spell, giving up only 48 runs. Radhakrishnan stalked Rivaldo Clarke (37), skipper Anderson Mahase (6) and Johann Layne (12).

That’s not all, for the uninitiated, Radhakrishnan was also part of the Delhi Capitals (DC) camp last season as a net bowler as he got his first taste of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and with the IPL 2022 mega auction set to be held in February, it should be interesting to see if any franchise decides to take a chance on the youngster.
