The new metallic red color is around Rs. 400 more expensive than the entry level Racing Blue

Yamaha Motor India has introduced the new Metallic Red paint scheme for the YZF-R15 V3.0 in the country. The new color option is priced at ₹ 152,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and will be available alongside the three existing color choices – Racing Blue, Thunder Gray and Dark Knight. The metallic red hue will be available at all brand dealers across India from today, and the new matte red and black color scheme adds to the bike’s sharp look.

There are no mechanical changes to the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 with the new color scheme

Other than the new color scheme, there is no change in the mechanics or styling of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0. The motorcycle is powered by the same fuel-injected, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 155cc four-valve engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. The engine is tuned to produce 18.3 hp at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of maximum torque at 8,500 rpm. The engine is associated with a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension functions are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, while stopping power comes from a 282mm disc up front and a 220mm disc. in back.

The Yamaha R15 V3.0 also comes with a long list of features including LED headlights, LCD instrument console with gearshift indicator, side stand cut-off switch, dual horn, as well as ‘a two-channel ABS. The bike is supported by a Deltabox frame with an aluminum swingarm. The Yamaha R15 continues to be one of the most sought-after entry-level performance motorcycles on sale and the new color adds value to the offering. The bike competes with the KTM RC 125, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, etc.
